Liver cancer

Liver cancer is often caused by chronic liver diseases such as cirrhosis or hepatitis and typically presents in the form of primary liver cancer or metastases from cancers that spread to the liver. We treat liver cancer using chemoembolization, which delivers chemotherapy directly to the tumor site; Y90 radioembolization, where radioactive particles are introduced into the blood vessels feeding the tumor; and percutaneous ablation, which uses heat (radiofrequency) or cold (cryoablation) to destroy the tumor while preserving liver function.

Kidney cancer

Kidney cancer is typically diagnosed when tumors form in the kidneys, often as renal cell carcinoma (RCC), and symptoms may include blood in the urine, pain, or unexplained weight loss. Treatment can be complex, especially in advanced stages, but interventional radiology provides less invasive alternatives to surgery. We treat kidney cancers using percutaneous ablation, a technique in which a needle is guided through the skin to the tumor, where heat or cold is applied to destroy cancer cells.

Lung cancer

Lung cancer, one of the most common and deadly cancers, typically involves uncontrolled cell growth in the lungs. There are two primary types: non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancer (SCLC). Using percutaneous ablation, we can target and destroy lung tumors using heat, radiofrequency, or cryoablation. This procedure, performed by our expert Beverly Hills interventional oncologists, offers a less invasive alternative to traditional surgery, which is particularly beneficial for patients who may not be surgical candidates due to age or overall health.

Prostate cancer

Prostate cancer, one of the most common cancers in men, affects the prostate gland and can be slow-growing. However, some cases are aggressive and can spread to other parts of the body. Interventional techniques provide a minimally invasive approach to treating this condition. We use percutaneous ablation to target and destroy the tumor in the prostate. This treatment is guided by imaging techniques such as CT or ultrasound, which allows for precise tumor targeting, ensuring minimal damage to surrounding healthy tissues.

Soft tissue & bone cancer

Soft tissue & bone cancer refers to cancers that begin in the tissues that connect, support, or surround other body structures, as well as in the bones themselves. These cancers can be challenging to treat, particularly when they occur in difficult-to-reach locations. We treat these cancers with tumor ablation, a minimally invasive procedure that uses heat, cryoablation, or other forms of energy to target and destroy the cancer cells. This technique is highly effective in controlling the growth of tumors without large surgical incisions.
